This tool was designed in response to a major industry challenge: the need to harmonize carbon footprint results, as existing tools on the market often produce different outcomes under the same assumptions. Our solution aims to be a simple, effective, and self-administered instrument for assessing an event’s Carbon Footprint.
The methodology is based on ADEME’s Bilan Carbone® and covers a comprehensive scope, including scopes 1, 2, and 3—from upstream to downstream of the activity.

The É(CO)² Calculator provides complete transparency on environmental impact and allows for multiple scenario simulations to help our clients minimize the carbon footprint of their events.
Beyond measurement, the tool raises awareness and educates all stakeholders in the value chain about environmental issues. It also contributes to the zero-waste objective by featuring a dedicated tab to evaluate the carbon footprint of waste and its recycling, enabling our teams to reduce waste generation in their operations.
Aligned with its commitment to promoting best practices and leadership, Hopscotch has made this tool accessible to the entire profession by developing it as open source and offering it free of charge to the professional association LÉvénement, allowing agencies and advertisers to compare carbon footprints on a standardized basis.
