Making Hopscotch a voice that matters in the tech conversation at a time of AI and strategic autonomy challenges
As artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and technological dependencies reshape Europe’s balance of power, Hopscotch has created “ Le Numérique Sans Filtre”, a talk series developed in partnership with the Cyber Excellence Hub.
The first edition, held at Hopscotch with the theme “Digital strategic autonomy: France–Germany perspectives”, was planned ahead of VivaTech 2026, where Germany was the guest country of honor.
To fuel this discussion, Hopscotch drew on a mapping of “active communities” around the term “sovereignty” in France and Germany. The programme brought together institutions, cybersecurity experts, and technology companies around two key sessions.
The first institutional exchange gathered DINUM, Numeum, the Cyber Excellence Hub, Germany Trade & Invest, and InterCERT. A second session, more business-focused, brought together the European Champions Alliance, Sopra Steria, Thales, Outscale, ChapsVision, and Almond.
A Franco-German meeting designed to circulate ideas and compare viewpoints on the conditions required for genuine European digital autonomy.
Around the table, the cross-perspectives of Arnaud Coustillière, Olivier Cassedanne, Valery Lienard, Estelle Franz, Matthieu Blondeau, Virginie Morlet, as well as Anne-Sophie Hottiaux, made it possible to bring together cyber expertise, institutional issues, and operational realities.
